BiographyEdward C. Fisher was born on 2 August 1896 in Stamford, Connecticut. He graduated from the New York University Law School in 1921 and admitted to the Connecticut bar in 1922. He served as judge of the Stamford City Court from 1933-1937 and elected to the Legislature from Stamford in the sessions of 1927, 1929, and 1933. Starting in 1937, he was executive secretary of the State Judicial Department. In 1959, Fisher was named chief judge of the Circuit Court. He died on 14 March 1960 in West Hartford.
