BiographyMarcia Blank Smith (1931-2021) was a lawyer who spent more than two decades as an Assistant State's Attorney for the State of Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice.
Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, she received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. She also attended law school, being part of one of the earliest classes of women to do so.
Smith began her legal career as a legislative legal adviser for the Connecticut State General Assembly. She resided in Litchfield, Connecticut, for 43 years before moving to Sarasota.
