BiographyAttorney Ellen Bloom Lubell, born in October 1947 in New York, is a legal professional whose career has spanned public defense and private practice.
Lubell attended NYU for her undergraduate studies from 1965 to 1969, majoring in English and French. She then pursued her legal education at the University of Connecticut Law School. During law school, she participated in the Legal Clinic in her final year.
After passing the Connecticut Bar, Lubell began her career as an Assistant Public Defender, working in New Haven for three years starting in 1972, and then in Danbury for eight years until 1981. In 1981, she transitioned to private practice in Westport, Connecticut, where she focused on high-end divorce cases.
