DescriptionChild's shirt, constructed of a rectangle of white cotton folded in half to form the shoulderline. The sides are left open for 2 1/4 inches from the bottom to create a vent, and they are open for 4 1/4 inches from the top fold to create the armhole. The 2 1/2 inch sleeve is set into the armhole, with a gusset for ease under the arm. The sleeve is trimmed with a narrow tuck above the hem and an edging of bobbin lace. Two slits perpendicular to the fold line create the shoulder straps. The center section is cut along the fold to create front and back flaps that fold down. The flaps have rounded corners and are unornamented.
