DescriptionInfant's shirt of very fine white cotton. The shirt is made from a long rectangle, with the narrow ends folded to the center back. The sides are slit for 2 1/2 inches to set in the sleeves, which are made of a 1 3/4-inch-wide strip of fabric. This forms a wide, square neckline. The neckline and armhole edges are trimmed with narrow bobbin lace. The hemming of the sleeves and the neckline edge are embellished with drawn threadwork.
