DescriptionWoman's chemise of plain linen, cut with separate front and back panels, joined by shoulder straps. The neckline is wide and square (6" deep x 11" wide.) The short (seven inches) sleeves are set smoothly into the shoulder strap. Ease is provided by underarm gussets. The back panel of the chemise is gathered into a one-inch band between the shoulders. The body of the chemise is pieced to create the flare along the right front and left back.
