The chemise closes at center front with five small mother-of-pearl buttons. The button placket on the bosom panel is flanked with narrow strips of eyelet embroidery. The sleeves are short (eleven inches) and are set smoothly into the yoke. The sleeve openings are edged with eyelet embroidery. Ease is provided by underarm gussets.
