DescriptionWoman's chemise made of plain-woven, medium-weight linen. The front and back body panels are cut separately. The front is seamed for the entire length to the right of the center. The back panel is pieced on the right side. The shape is flared, and the side seams are flat-felled. The neckline is a wide, rounded square, about 5 3/4 inches deep in front. The sleeves are narrow and short (six inches). Ease is provided by underarm gussets. The neckline, hem, and sleeves edges are turned under about 1/4 inch.
