Abner W. Sibal

American, 1922 - 2000
BiographyAbner W. Sibal was born in Ridgewood, New York. He graduated from Wesleyan University in 1943. During World War II, he served with the Army in Europe and the Pacific. He graduated from St. John's University Law School in 1949. Later that year, he was admitted to the Connecticut bar. He served as a prosecuting attorney and corporation counsel of Norwalk. From 1956-1960, he was a member of the Connecticut Senate. He was then elected to the House of Representatives from Connecticut's 4th District and served two terms until 1965. He died on 27 January 2000 in Alexandria, Virginia.
