BiographyJeremy R. Paul is an American lawyer and legal scholar. Born on July 22, 1956, in New York, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University in 1978 and his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 1981.
Paul's career in legal academia includes serving as Dean of Northeastern University School of Law from 2012 until June 2018. Before that, he was a faculty member at the University of Connecticut School of Law for 23 years, where he also served as Dean and the Thomas F. Gallivan, Jr. Professor of Real Property Law from 2007 to 2012. His teaching focuses on Constitutional Law, Property, and Jurisprudence. Beyond his academic roles, Paul has held positions such as a law clerk to Judge Irving R. Kaufman of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, Professor-in-Residence at the Appellate Staff of the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, and assistant to the president of Travelers Group.
