Mary M. Galvin is an American lawyer. She was the first woman appointed as a state prosecutor in Connecticut, and the first woman appointed as a State's Attorney in the state's history.

Galvin's career in public prosecution began in 1975 when she joined the Division of Criminal Justice. She served as State's Attorney for the Judicial District of Ansonia-Milford from 1988 through 2006, and prior to that, was Chief Assistant State's Attorney in New Haven from 1985 to 1987.

After retiring from state service in 2006, Galvin became the Dean of Education for the National Advocacy Center of the National District Attorneys' Association in Columbia, South Carolina, overseeing premier training programs for prosecutors nationwide.

Galvin has also contributed to legal education, teaching trial practice at the Yale University School of Law since 1981 and serving as an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Haven. She was appointed to the Criminal Justice Commission in 2011 by Governor Dannel P. Malloy and currently serves as senior counsel at the Travelers Indemnity Company in Hartford.
