DescriptionInfant's shirt of white cotton. It is constructed of a rectangle, folded in half to create the shoulderline. The neckline is created by diagonal slits down from the fold line, with the center section cut along the fold. This creates front and back flaps that would fold down over the belly band. The outer edges of the slits are folded back over the shoulder. The shirt is cut up the center back to create an opening. The sleeves are cut one with the body. The edges of the sleeves are cut in points at the back and front. The sleeve edges, shoulder flaps, and neckline flaps are all trimmed with Cluny bobbin lace.
