DescriptionInfant's shirt of plain, white cotton. It is constructed from a long, narrow rectangle of fabric, with the short ends folded to the center front. The neckline is cut out of the top edge; it is lower in front than in back, and has slightly rounded corners in front. One-quarter-inch-wide shoulder straps are stitched on each side, and the folded side edges are slit for about two inches. A 2-inch-wide sleeve is stitched into the resulting armhole, with a gusset for ease under the arm. The sleeve is gathered along the shoulder strap edge.
