BiographyHenry "Ray" Emil Kuhn was born on 26 December 1924 in Brooklyn, New York. He was the son of Emil Kuhn (1885-1967) and Emilie Kuhn (born c. 1890). He graduated from Grace Church School and Clarence White School of Photography, both in Manhattan, New York. Before joining the U.S. Air Force in WWII, he was employed by Paul Parker Studios.

In 1946, Ray married Virginia Isabelle Marstiller (1923-2013), and they moved to Manchester, Connecticut. They had three children. He was employed as Chief Photographer at United Technologies for 35, before he retired in 1982. He died on 6 November 2012 in Manchester, Connecticut.
