DescriptionWoman's petticoat of white cotton, fitted smoothly around the waist. The center back opening is 11 1/2 inches long, and it fastens with three small mother of pearl buttons. The petticoat has a nine-inch-deep flounce of machine-woven lace, headed by a band of eyelet insertion that would have been laced with a ribbon. This flounce is stitched over the petticoat so that there is a double layer below the knees. Underneath the flounce, the petticoat is finished with a narrow lace edging. The petticoat is fitted by darts at the waist.
