DescriptionWoman's petticoat of white cotton with a drawstring waist across the back. It is smooth across the front. A seventeen-inch-deep flounce of heavy cotton lace is stitched around the petticoat. The strips of lace which make up the flounce are stitched together vertically; they are separated in the lower half with gussets of pin-tucked self-fabric, which flares the flounce. The bottom of the flounce is finished with a 3 1/2-inch-wide edging of lace. Underneath the flounce, the petticoat is ruffled with self-fabric.
