DescriptionWoman's white cotton petticoat, with a drawstring waist. A 15 1/2-inch-deep flounce of self-fabric alternating with bands of machine-made bobbin lace is stitched to the petticoat so that it creates a double layer for extra fullness below the knees. The layer under the flounce has a seven-inch-deep self-fabric ruffle trimmed with the bobbin-type lace. The petticoat has a slight trian. The center back is open for eight inches.
NotesHistorical Note: This petticoat was worn by Mrs. E. H. Cooper under her wedding dress in 1901.Status
