BiographyKatherine Yeomans Hutchinson, born on September 1, 1936, in Hartford, Connecticut, grew up in Andover. Her father was an attorney. She attended Skidmore College and later transferred to the University of Connecticut Law School, graduating in 1960. After passing the Bar Exam in 1960, she began her career working part-time for Edwin Lavitt in Rockville, eventually transitioning to full-time. She notably served as Town Attorney for Andover for 24 years. Her firm evolved into various partnerships, including Lavitt, Aaronson and Hutchinson, and Lavitt, Hutchinson and Kaplan. Several of her associates, including Arnold Aaronson, John Kaplan, and Lawrence Klazak, later became judges. She practiced general law until 1984, when she became a Magistrate.
