DescriptionOvoid, small-mouthed redware jar with a brown lead glaze that has small areas of mottled orange and green. The jar is glazed on the interior and exterior, with the exception of the bottom inch of the jar, which is left unglazed. The jar has a flat base and sides that swell then narrow to form a narrow neck and a slightly flared rim. A narrow ledge circles the inside of the jar and would have supported a lid (now missing). There are several imperfections in the glaze where the redware is uneven or where the glaze was interrupted during firing. Light scratches circle the widest point of the exterior of the jar. There are several small chips in the glaze, exposing the redware below, on the lower half of the jar.
