DescriptionSmall-mouthed redware preserve jar that has a cylindrical body, narrow neck, and a flared rim that would have supported a fitted lid. The lid is now missing. The interior of the jar is coated with a lightly mottled, light brown or red lead glaze, and much of the exterior is as well, with the exception of the bottom inch of the jar, which is unglazed. There are three lightly impressed ribs and one line of impressed circles circling the jar. All the glazed surfaces of the jar show light crazing. There are two large and several smaller chips in the rim.
