DescriptionCylindrical, small-mouthed stoneware preserve jar with a mottled black and reddish-brown glaze on the interior and exterior, except for the bottom, which is unglazed. The cylindrical sides of the jar narrow at the shoulder, then form a slightly flared, plain rim. A raised line circles the bottom of the jar. There are small bumps and indentations in the glaze, as the stoneware below is not even.

There are several chips in the foot of the jar, both to the glaze and the ceramic. Light scratches cover the glazed exterior surface of the jar.
