DescriptionCylindrical, small-mouthed stoneware preserve jar with a brown slip glaze, or Albany-type slip glaze, on the interior and exterior. The glaze is not completely perfect, being darker in some areas, and having chips in others. The cylindrical sides of the jar narrow at the shoulder then form a plain rim. An incised line circles the shoulder of the jar. The fingerprints of the potter or glazer are visible at the bottom of the jar.

There are a few small chips in the glaze on the exterior, and one large chip on the bottom of the jar. A small hairline crack is visible on the rim of the jar.
