DescriptionHalf-length portrait of a young man wearing a coat in the style of a military uniform, with a high collar and six buttons with the letters "F2" on them. A rosette, probably a medal or military decoration, is pinned to his left breast. A wide sash is tied around his waist.

NotesSubject Note: Francois-Charles-Joseph Bonaparte, the Duke of Reichstadt, was the son of the Emperor Napoleon and his second wife, Marie-Louise. He was born in 1811 and died in 1832.
