DescriptionHalf-length portrait of a young man wearing a tight-fitting coat in the style of a military uniform. It has a high collar, cuffs, and six buttons. Two rosettes, probably medals or military decorations, are pinned to his left breast. A sash is tied around his waist. His arms are folded across his chest, and he has long sideburns.

NotesSubject Note: Francois-Charles-Joseph Bonaparte, the Duke of Reichstadt, was the son of the Emperor Napoleon and his second wife, Marie-Louise. He was born in 1811 and died in 1832.
