DescriptionA man lies in an ornately carved bed, supported by a woman who is seated beside him with her feet on a footstool. He has a mustache and sideburns and wears a nightshirt. She wears a dark dress trimmed with lace and a veil. A man wearing a coat, trousers, and eyeglasses stands at the right with his left hand on the top of a chair. A young woman at the far left has hidden her face in a handkerchief, which she holds in her left hand. Three men in military uniforms stand behind the bed. One wears eyeglasses. Two are holding hands. There is a crown at the head of the bed. A patterned carpet is on the floor. Decorative paneling is on the wall in the background.
