DescriptionChild's dress of finely ribbed white cotton, constructed with princess seams and a high, round neckline trimmed with a ruffle of whitework embroidery. The two-piece sleeves are long and are set smoothly into the armscye. The shoulderline is dropped. The sleeves end with a narrow edging of scalloped whitework headed by a band of whitework embroidered with a frond and berry motif. Scalloped whitework edging is stitched into the princess seams of the dress front. The bottom of the dress is edged with a ruffle of scalloped whitework. The bottom of the front panel ends with a band of whitework matching that used on the sleeves. The opening extends for the length of the center back. It fastens with ten mother of pearl buttons.
