DescriptionSmall child's dress of white cotton, with a woven check pattern of interlocking satin stripes. The dress has a yoke of whitework embroidery across the front and back. The high, round neckline is trimmed with an eyelet ruffle under the bound edge. The long sleeves are cut like a coat sleeve and end at the wrist with turned-back cuffs of eyelet embroidery. The front and back of the dress are smooth under the eyelet yoke and fall to a five-inch-wide eyelet flounce, which acts as a skirt, headed by a 1 3/4-inch-wide band of matching floral eyelet. The center back opening is about twelve inches long and fastens with seven buttons (two are missing).
