DescriptionView of Birmingham, earlier called Smithville, in Derby as seen from the shore at Derby landing. To the extreme left one can see a portion of the Leavenworth Bridge over the Housatonic River. Near the center on a hill over the copper factories is the home of Sheldon Smith. Buildings are clustered along the hillside.
