DescriptionView of East Haddam Landing from the West Bank of the Connecticut River. Numerous buildings line the East bank. A ship is shown under construction in the yard on the waterfront. Numerous sailing ships are on the river near the wharf. The steep hills in the background are largely barren with only a few scattered trees. To the left is the prominent house of General Epaphroditus Champion. Opposite the Champion house is the post office. The spire of the Congregational Church is evident to the extreme right.
