DescriptionSmall sailing vessels are on the Connecticut River, which flows between steep grassy banks, with hills in the background. In the foreground, frame houses and a rail fence line a street that leads down towards the river. There are many trees, bushes, and open spaces that appear to be grassy lawns or yards. A large building along the waterfront may be a warehouse.
