DescriptionWoman's white cotton nightgown with a yoke and high, round neckline finished with a ruffle of eyelet embroidery. The front yoke is decorated with vertical rows of pintucking and an insertion of eyelet embroidery. The back yoke is plain. A seventeen-inch long button placket forms the opening at center front. It fastens with three small mother of pearl buttons. The long sleeves are slightly gathered into the armscye and slightly gathered at the wrist into a narrow bias band edged with an eyelet ruffle. The front and back panels of the nightgown are gathered into the yoke. The hem is 1 3/8-inch deep.
