BiographyRosa DeLauro was born on 2 March 1943 in New Haven, Connecticut. From 1991-present [2025], she has been serving as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Connecticut's 3rd district. She was Co-Chair of the House Democratic Standing Committee from 2003-2021 and Chair of the House Appropriations Committee from 2021-2023. In 2023, she became the Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee.
