Russian, 1892 - 1996
BiographyBasil Alexis Plusnin was born in Russia. He served as a captain in the Russian Army during World War I before being taken as a prisoner of war by the Austrians. He remained a prisoner of war until 1918, when the war ended. He was married to Vassa N. Fedorff (1903-1996). At some point, he immigrated to the United States and settled in Connecticut. He held a doctorate degree in forestry and was a member of the U.S. Forestry Service. He died on 9 December 1996.
