Alexander Romanov II

BiographyAlexander II was born 29 April 1818, the sone of Nicholas I (#5). He became the Emperor of Russia in 1855. He brought about many reforms in the Empire, chief of which was the emanipation of the serfs in 1861. He died 13 March 1881, a victim of a Nihilist plot.
