DescriptionRound, short, globular pot made of buff-colored stoneware. The pot has a body in the shape of a flattened sphere, with a rim that flares out from the neck. There is a small shelf inside the rim, which would have supported a lid (now missing). Two mold lines are barely visible, each on opposite sides of the pot. A small, mold-formed handle connects the rim with the body of the pot. The handle was not applied directly over a mold line. The exterior is covered with a dark brown lead glaze, while the interior is covered with a dark brown slip glaze, or Albany-type glaze. There is one chip in the rim and several small spots of a white substance, possibly paint, adhered to the outside of the pot to the left of the handle.
