DescriptionLarge, round, two-handled yellow earthenware pot with a yellow glaze. The pot has a flat, round foot and sides that swell, then narrow, then flare to form a plain rim. Two pulled strap handles have been applied on opposite sides of the pot, in the middle of each side over the widest point. The yellow glaze covers the inside of the pot and much of the outside; the foot and lower portions of the sides are not glazed. Additionally, the pot has several spots of brown slip decoration applied just under the rim. These spots drip down the side of the pot, giving it a streaked appearance.
The bottom of the pot has brown and black discoloration; the inside bottom of the pot shows a brown discoloration as well. There is crazing over all the glazed surfaces of the pot. There is one chip in the rim, and a crack crosses one side of the foot. The crack and some of the crazing have accumulated significant amounts of dirt over time.
