DescriptionSmall, round, yellow earthenware cup with a yellow glaze. The cup has a flat, round foot and sides that swell, then narrow, then flare to form a plain rim. One pulled strap handle has been applied on one side at the widest point of the cup. The yellow glaze covers the inside of the cup and much of the outside; the foot and lower portions of the exterior sides are not glazed. Additionally, the cup has several spots of brown slip applied just under the rim.
The bottom of the exterior of the cup has brown and black discoloration; the inside bottom shows a brown discoloration as well. There is crazing over all the glazed surfaces of the cup, as well as six larger chips and several very small chips in the rim. A crack circles a portion of the foot and leads to at least four other cracks up the sides of the cup.
