DescriptionWhiteware vase with a mottled glaze of black, green, and brown, a type of ceramic made by the Wannopee Pottery Company called "Duchess ware". The vase has a round, bulbous body that is about 3 1/2 inches tall, that narrows to a slender vertical neck. The vase has a mottled glaze of black, dark brown, and green over an all-over light brown glaze. There is crazing over all the surfaces of the glaze and one or two scratches around the widest point of the vase.
