The plate has raised decoration on an undulating rim that alternates between panels of a basketweave pattern and a geometric diamond pattern, separated by scrolls. The plate is decorated with metallic oxide sponging in copper green, manganese brown, iron, and cobalt under a clear lead glaze. There are many scratches and crazing to the glaze on both the top and bottom surfaces of the plate. Remnants of clear wax are adhered to the bottom of the plate.
