DescriptionDress for a toddling child, made of cylinder-printed cotton with a design of reverse-curved foliate stripes with flowers inside the curves: red on white, with touches of blue. The dress falls straight from the neckline. Very short sleeves are edged with folded self-fabric, and vandyke points are gathered into the narrow shoulder straps. Long sleeves of smale-scale double-pink check calico are attached under the short sleeve ruffle---these may have been added later. The dress closes with a drawstring at the neckline. Two narrow tucks are taken in the skirt just above the hem.
