DescriptionInfant's dress of white cotton, styled with a faux vest edged with piping (which is machine-sewn with a chain stitch) and scalloped eyelet embroidery. The center front panel of the dress is covered with horizontal tucks. The square neckline is edged with piping and scalloped eyelet embroidery. The short sleeves are decorated with three tucks, and the openings are edged with two opposing rows of the scalloped eyelet embroidery. The back of the dress is open for 11 1/2 inches. It closes at the neckline with a drawstring and at the waistline with five drawstrings encased within a 3/4-inch width. A peplum continuing from the faux vest is stitched at the waistline across the back. The bottom of the skirt is decorated with ten narrow tucks above the 1 3/4-inch-wide hem, which is edged with scalloped eyelet embroidered with a flower design.
