DescriptionThe head of a man at the left and a woman at the right are shown in profile, facing each other. Viewed right side up, the figures appear to be smiling, showing their teeth. The man wears a cap, the woman a hat. Viewed upsidedown, the faces appear to be frowning angrily, with storm clouds and lightning overhead. The man wears the same cap; the woman wears a mob cap with a ribbon bow. The composition is surrounded by an oval within a rectangle. The pattern in the corners suggests marble.
