DescriptionWoman and elderly man seated in an interior. He wears eyeglasses, a suit, vest and clerical collar. She wears a cap and what appears to be a crinoline. Books, a marble urn and a container in the shape of a shell are on a table with a floral tablecloth. Additional books and a vase are on a bookcase. Additional vases and candelabra with hanging prisms are on the mantle of a marble fireplace. A carpet with a floral pattern is on the floor.
