DescriptionThree-quarter length standing portrait of a young woman adjusting a sheer veil over her head. She wears a dress with balloon sleeves, gathered at the wrist with what appear to be bracelets, and a wide ribbon belt or sash. Hanging from her left sleeve is a cross on a long beaded chain, possibly a rosary. In the left background, faintly outlined, are a stone arch and an open book.
