DescriptionA young woman is seated on a couch or sofa. Her right arm leans on a large pillow with a tassel on it. She is looking at a locket that she wears around her neck on a cord, which she is holding in her right hand. The locket consists of a painted miniature portrait of a young man. The woman wears a dress with a wide neckline and collar, balloon sleeves, and a wide belt with a buckle. A bracelet on her left wrist is worn over an undersleeve. A narrow band with a small diamond-shaped bead is around her forehead.
