DescriptionHalf-length portrait of a woman wearing a dress with balloon sleeves with an extra puff above the elbow. Horizontal gathers at the top of the bodice are held in place by vertical strips of fabric. Her jewelry includes bracelets, rings, a brooch, a necklace, earrings, and chain and pendant across her forehead. One of the bracelets on her left wrist incorporates a miniature portrait of a man. She wears flowers in her hair and holds a rose in her right hand. Her right elbow rests on a cushion. The back of a chair or bench is visible behind her.
