DescriptionA young woman is seated in an interior near an open window. She holds a piece of cloth in her left hand and presumably a needle and thread in her right hand. Only the thread is visible. An open book is in her lap. She wears a dress with balloon sleeves and two bracelets. A cross hangs from a ribbon around her neck. Vines, probably ivy, surround the window frame.
