DescriptionGirl's dress of heavy, white, herringbone twill-woven cotton. The dress is constructed with princess seaming. It has a high, round neckline, edged with a heavy white cotton braid woven with a design resembling a looped tape. The two-piece sleeves are set smoothly into the armscye, which is at the natural shoulderline. They are about three-quarter-length, ending in ruffles of machine-stitched whitework embroidery headed by the looped-tape braid. The skirt is decorated around the bottom with two rows of flat decorative braid, a row of whitework embroidery, then a row of the looped tape braid on either side of a strip of whitework of a different design. A ruffle of whitework matching that on the sleeves finishes the bottom of the skirt. The dress opens down the length of the back and fastens with twelve mother of pearl buttons.
