DescriptionWoman's petticoat of plain white cotton, with a fitted yoke around the hips. The petticoat is gathered into the yoke, with a decorative woven tape above the seam. An 11 3/8-inch-wide flounce is stitched around and over the lower portion of the petticoat, creating a double layer. This flounce is headed by five rows of narrow tucks. It is coarsely machine-embroidered with a floral pattern. The center back opening extends twelve inches and fastens with two mother of pearl buttons on the hip yoke.
