DescriptionGirl's nightgown of white cotton, with a high, round neckline edged with a ruffle of scalloped whitework embroidery stitched under a binding. The nightgown has a yoke made up of vertical bands of whitework with a leaf motif, alternating with a series of three tucks in front. A single strip of whitework flanked on each side with six tucks is used on the back yoke. The skirt of the nightgown is gathered into the bottom of the yoke. The center front opening extends fourteen inches and fastens with three mother of pearl buttons. The long sleeves are gathered at the top of the shoulder and edged at the wrist opening with a band of the whitework and a ruffle of scalloped whitework. The sleeve is cut with a slight curve.
